What You Need To Know
Not initially, but if you plan on coming regular, it would be silly not to. Use our calculator to work it out. Visitors are welcome at £10 a night. Join when you’re ready.
Subs vary depending on wether you're a member. From £10 down to no subs, find the membership thats right for you.
Yourself obviously, a racket (but they can be borrowed for a small fee at the centre),some indoor sports footware & a drink (also available at the centre if you forget!).
Whilst we are very open to players, it would be wrong to let anyone totally new to badminton or who has just played casually, for them & the club players. We recommend getting upto speed before at maybe the no strings session at the centre . A reasonable understanding of the rules & ability to play a range of shots coupled with some basic knowledge of positioning (we priaily play doubles) will go a long way to making playing in the club enviroment easier.
Student rate is for anyone still at school or in higher education, upto the age of 18, after that an adult membership is required.
We have, as of 2026, got one team registered in the Oldham & Rochdale Badminton League in Division 2 If you wish to play, there is a one time signing on fee of £3, and subs are what you pay at home (you MUST be a member to play in the league) & away a fixed £5 regardless of your membership level.

If he isn't disappearing for 5 or 6 weeks at a time, or playing cricket, he's here fastening his shoe laces at the most inappropriate times!

From the get go Emily has always been far more competitive than she appears, never drop your guard!
Haki "Dorian" Tan
It‘s rumored he’s well over a hundred, BUT never seems to look over 30 (well, 31!). A-team player, who is able to play an all-round game & has a steely determination to win. Off-court is really rather pleasant.
